Once you have acquired a number of entries in your blog or produced so many pages on your website, you can put up Google Ads or use contextual advertising, such as infolinks, to earn anywhere from 10 cents to 10 dollars every time someone clicks on one of the ads. In addition to this income opportunity you can recommend products from affiliate programs, such as Amazon.com, that allow you to earn a commission if an individual clicks on the product and makes a purchase.

Now, to be realistic, this is not a money making opportunity that will earn you a substantial salary overnight. It requires time and effort on your part to create regular posts and build a group of followers that come back on a regular basis or subscribe to your RSS feed. Currently, the majority of my income comes from the website, which is likely due to the large number of pages I have that are getting me lots of targeted search engine traffic. I also realize that this is where I devote most of my time, so I probably could put a little more effort into regular blogging and see better results.
